Handmade Chinese Calligraphy Tiles

 Installation and Maintenance

Tile Installation:

This is a 6x6 ceramic tile and can be installed using standard tile installation processes. Please consider the following when determining how the tile will be installed:

• Do not install tile in heavy use areas such as floors with foot traffic or active cooking areas on counter tops. While the epoxy coat is is very durable, an acrylic coat is added on top to prevent yellowing.

• Do not install in areas subject to high heat such as from a hot pot or frying pan. The calligraphy is encased in both epoxy and acrylic, both are plastics that should not be subjected high temperatures.

• Not for installation in areas subjected excessive moisture such as bathtub and shower enclosures.

• Not recommended for exterior installations.

• Do not let mortar or grout dry on pattern surface of tile. Wipe off wet mortar or grout with soft damp cloth.

• Protect tile surface when grouting.

Maintenance:

• Periodically clean tile surface with furniture cleaner polish such as Pledge.

• For heavier cleaning use mild dish soap and water, dry with soft towel and finish with furniture cleaner polish.
